Want to improve? Now is the time to do it; the New Year is almost here. Join the crowd and set a New Year’s resolution for your profession. Better yet, take a few minutes and share a mini- lesson with your students about the importance of goal-setting. Have them set a few goals for school or even just your class. Use the goals throughout the semester or the rest of the school year as motivation. Don’t forget to have them check-up on your progress too!

Here is a potpourri of New Year's resolution websites from previous years (lessons, teacher goals, poems). What catches your eye?

New Year’s Resolutions by Bruce Lansky

Stephen R. Covey

Regarding myself, I have one major professional goal for next semester's Spanish class-- differentiate more strategies for my students' lessons so that I meet their individual needs. Happy New Year and good luck!

What are some of your New Year's goals?

Your blog is a testament to the power of optimism and positivity—thank you for being a shining example. I've tried a lot of arcade-style games, but coreball game is definitely one of the most unique and enjoyable ones out there.
